High Performance Doors & Grilles

High Performance Doors & Grilles are designed for 500,000 cycles usage with an average operating speed of up to 24 inches per second to open and 12 inches per second to close.  They are well suited for parking garages and other applications where traditional roll-up doors and grilles do not adequately meet the demands for very high frequency usage or the desire for higher speed operation. High Performance Tight-Coil Grilles fit into as little as 12″ headroom.

  • High Performance Doors and Grilles utilize a springless barrel design with a high efficiency in-line gear drive motor operator (2 HP minimum), wall mount control panel, variable speed controller and soft start/stop, dual monitored sensing systems… and UL325 compliant.
  • Model PG High Performance Grilles (shown above) feature an enhanced aluminum, or optional stainless steel, heavy-link curtain, with horizontal sleeved aluminum rods on 1 1/2″ centers, passing through grommeted 3/16″ thick vertical links on 9″ centers.  Rod ends utilize stainless steel sleeves and cotter pins to reduce wear and maintain positive alignment.
  • Model PT High Performance Tight-Coil Grilles combine the cycle life and speed of the Model PG with a patent pending curtain constructed of curved aluminum links 8 3/4″ apart and rods spaced 1 3/4″ apart, resulting in a low headroom design requiring only 12″ to 14″ total clearance.
  • Model PD High-Performance Doors feature durable heavy-gauge flat slats, while the Model PI High Performance Insulated Door offers double-wall insulated slats.  Slat ends are fitted with special Delrin endblocks and malleable iron endlocks to reduce wear and maintain curtain alignment.  Scratch-Guard protection system is included to reduce finish wear and operating noise.  
  • All models utilize a steel guide design with replaceable extruded UHMW wear strips and a heavy tubular bottom bar.  
  • Isolation mounts are available as an option to reduce vibration and operating noise transmitted to the structure.
